【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversandisintendedforuseonanypetroleumproduct.Aproceduresuitableforblackspecimens,cylinderstock,andnondistillatefueloilisdescribedin8.8.AprocedurefortestingthefluidityofaresidualfueloilataspecifiedtemperatureisdescribedinAppendixX1.ThecloudpointprocedureformerlypartofthistestmethodnowappearsasTestMethodD2500.CurrentlythereisnoASTMtestmethodforautomatedTestMethodD97pourpointmeasurements.SeveralASTMtestmethodsofferingalternativeproceduresfordeterminingpourpointsusingautomaticapparatusareavailable.NoneofthemsharethesamedesignationnumberasTestMethodD97.Whenanautomaticinstrumentisused,theASTMtestmethoddesignationnumberspecifictothetechniqueshallbereportedwiththeresults.AprocedurefortestingthepourpointofcrudeoilsisdescribedinTestMethodD5853.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
