【摘要】:Theprimarypurposeofthistestmethodistocharacterizethecarbon-typecompositionofanoil.Itisalsoapplicableinobservingtheeffectonoilconstitution,ofvariousrefiningprocessessuchashydrotreating,solventextraction,andsoforth.Ithassecondaryapplicationinrelatingthechemicalnatureofanoiltootherphenomenathathavebeendemonstratedtoberelatedtooilcomposition.Resultsobtainedbythismethodaresimilarto,butnotidenticalwith,resultsobtainedfromTestMethodD3238.TherelationshipbetweenthetwomethodsandtheequationsusedinderivingFig.1arediscussedintheliterature.5Althoughthistestmethodtendstogiveconsistentresults,itmaynotcomparewithdirectmeasurementtestmethodssuchasTestMethodD2007.1.1Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminethecarbon-typecompositionofmineralinsulatingoilsbycorrelationwithbasicphysicalproperties.Forroutineanalyticalpurposesiteliminatesthenecessityforcomplexfractionalseparationandpurificationprocedures.Thetestmethodisapplicabletooilshavingaveragemolecularweightsfrom200toabove600,and0to50aromaticcarbonatoms.1.2Carbon-typecompositionisexpressedaspercentageofaromaticcarbons,percentageofnaphtheniccarbons,andpercentageofparaffiniccarbons.Thesevaluescanbeobtainedfromthecorrelationchart,Fig.1,ifboththeviscosity-gravityconstant(VGC)andrefractivityintercept(rI)oftheoilareknown.Viscosity,densityandspecificgravity,andrefractiveindexaretheonlyexperimentaldatarequiredforuseofthistestmethod.1.3Thistestmethodisusefulfordeterminingthecarbon-typecompositionofelectricalinsulatingoilsofthetypescommonlyusedinelectricpowertransformersandtransmissioncables.Itisprimarilyintendedforusewithnewoils,eitherinhibitedoruninhibited.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
