【摘要】:ISO22309:2006givesguidanceonthequantitativeanalysisatspecificpointsorareasofaspecimenusingenergy-dispersivespectrometry(EDS)fittedtoascanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)orelectronprobemicroanalyser(EPMA);anyexpressionofamount,i.e.intermsofpercent(massfraction),aslarge/smallormajor/minoramountsisdeemedtobequantitative.ThecorrectidentificationofallelementspresentinthespecimenisanecessarypartofquantitativeanalysisandisthereforeconsideredinISO22309:2006.ISO22309:2006providesguidanceonthevariousapproachesandisapplicabletoroutinequantitativeanalysisofmassfractionsdownto1%,utilisingeitherreferencematerialsorstandardlessprocedures.ItcanbeusedwithconfidenceforelementswithatomicnumberZgreaterthan10.GuidanceontheanalysisoflightelementswithZlessthan11isalsogiven.

【摘要】:Solids,bothasfilterableandnonfilterablematter,areimportantinthetreatingofrawwaterandwastewater,andinmonitoringofstreams.Wastesolidsimposeasuspendedandsettleableresidueinreceivingwaters.Suspendedandsolublematerialsprovideamatrixforsomebiologicalslimeand,insufficientquantity,impairrespirationoforganisms.Thesesolidsmaycreatenuisanceslimebedsandodorswhileimposingalong-termbiologicaloxidationloadoverlimitedreceivingwaterareas.Knowledgeofsuspendedandsolublematerialsisimportantintreatingrawwatersupplies.Knowledgeofsolidsloadingcanaidindeterminingthetypeoramountoftreatment,orboth,necessarytomakethewateracceptableforuse.Suchinformationmayalsobeusedtodetermineacceptabilityofwateraftertreatment.Toolittletreatmentmaynotbedesirableandexcesstreatmentcostsmoney.Streammonitoringisimportantforenvironmentalreasons.Streamimprovements,waterpollutionmonitoring,masswasting,algalstudies,andsedimentloadsarebutafewofthemanyreasonsstreamsaremonitored.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoffilterableandnonfilterablematterindrinking,surface,andsalinewaters,domesticandindustrialwastes.Thepracticalrangeofthedeterminationofnonfilterableparticulatematteris4to20000mg/L.Thepracticalrangeofthedeterminationoffilterablematteris10to20000mg/L.1.2Sincetheresultsmeasuredbythistestareoperationallydefined,carefulattentionmustbepaidtofollowingtheprocedureasspecified.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,seeSection9.
