【摘要】:Theperformanceofglassproductsmaybeaffectedbypresenceofresidualstressesduetoprocess,differentialthermalexpansionbetweenfusedcomponents,andbyinclusions.Thistestmethodprovidesmeansofquantitativeevaluationofstresses.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheanalysisofstressinglassbymeansofapolarimeterbasedontheprinciplesdevelopedbyJessopandFriedel(,).Stressisevaluatedasafunctionofopticalretardation,thatisexpressedastheangleofrotationofananalyzingpolarizerthatcausesextinctionintheglass.1.2ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
