【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversstandardnominalsizesandsizetolerancesofscreenedferroalloyandalloyadditiveproducts.ThisspecificationprovidesarangeofsizesasreferencedinallASTMspecificationsforferroalloysandalloyadditives.1.2Thesizesandtolerancesallowforvaryingdegreesoffriabilityuponreceiptofmaterialsincesomeattritionmaybeexpectedintransit,storage,andhandling.1.3SpecificationsofsievesizesusedtodefinetolerancesarelistedinSpecificationE11.RepresentativeproceduresforevaluationofeachlotaredescribedinMethodsA610.RefertoAppendixX1forapplicablesievedesignations(seeTableX1.1).1.4Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4.1Thisspecificationisexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandinSIunits(Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets);however,unlessthepurchaseorderorcontractspecifiestheapplicableMspecificationdesignation(SIunits),theinch-poundunitsshallapply.
