【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793establishesuniformrequirementsforthemonitoringofchangesinopticaltransmittance,therebyassistingintheinspectionoffibresandcablesforcommercialpurposes.Thisstandardgivestwomethodsformonitoringthechangesinopticaltransmittanceofopticalfibresandcablesthatoccurduringmechanicalorenvironmentaltesting,orboth.Itprovidesamonitorinthechangeofopticaltransmissioncharacteristicsarisingfromopticaldiscontinuity,physicaldefectsandmodificationsoftheattenuationslope:-methodA:changeintransmittancebytransmittedpower;-methodB:changeintransmittancebybackscattering.MethodsAandBapplytothemonitoringofallcategoriesofthefollowingfibres:-classA:multimodefibres;-classB:single-modefibres.Informationcommontobothmeasurementsiscontainedinclauses1to8,andinformationpertainingtoeachindividualmethodappearsinannexesA,andBrespectively.
